With our Heliatos Bottom Feed Connector you can connect your Solar Hot Water Heating System to an existing standard gas or electric water heater. To install you simply remove the drain valve at the bottom of the existing water heater and install this unit instead.
Includes two 1/2" Full Port Ball Valves so you can shut off the solar loop plus a metal boiler drain for draining the water heater if needed.
This unit has 1/2" female threads (NPT) for the solar lines and a 3/4" standard garden hose thread for the drain valve.
Will work on gas and electric water heaters with 3/4" drain valve near the bottom of the tank.
All materials used are rated for potable water use and conform to the Reduction of Lead in Drinking Water Act.
